Fox & Wizard proudly lent their visual magic to the acclaimed BBC Film, "BLUE JEAN". This collaboration was born through a connection with the talented team at ONSIGHT Post Production in London, who recognised the unique touch Fox & Wizard could bring to this groundbreaking project.
The debut feature from writer/director Georgia Oakley unfolds a powerful narrative set against the backdrop of 1988 and the challenges faced by PE teacher Jean, skillfully portrayed by Rosy McEwan. Fox & Wizard played a crucial role in upholding the authentic period feel of the film by carefully tending to location cleanup and extension, bringing a heightened visual authenticity to the portrayal of the 1980s era, underlining Fox & Wizard's unwavering commitment to preserving the cinematic scope of the project.
This project was also very interesting and unique for us to work on as it was shot on 35mm film, elevating the visual experience and contributing to the film's unique charm.
"BLUE JEAN" has not only received accolades such as the People's Choice Award at the 2023 Venice Film Festival and four British Independent Film Awards but has also secured a BAFTA nomination for Outstanding Debut. Holding a stellar 92% Fresh Rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the film stands as a testament to the impact of collaborative artistry.
