Fox & Wizard is proud to have served as the production-side VFX Management Team, with Jonathan Alenskas as Visual Effects Supervisor, on *MARKED*—a bold new Netflix original series premiering globally on July 31.

Our involvement began in early pre-production, working closely with the showrunners, directors, and production design team to shape the visual effects strategy and contribute to the creative development of the series’ signature look. From initial concept through to final delivery, we helped define how VFX could best support the storytelling—ensuring the show’s visual language remained grounded, cinematic, and cohesive.

MARKED required an integrated VFX approach across all departments. Fox & Wizard oversaw all production-side VFX supervision and post-production management, aligning creative intent with technical execution throughout the process.

Our scope included:

– Creative VFX development and planning from early prep

– On-set supervision and full data capture

– Vendor strategy, budgeting, and schedule management

– Previs/techvis for complex and stylised sequences

– Guidance on in-camera VFX and hybrid techniques

– Asset tracking, shot continuity, and QC through final delivery

MARKED is a gripping South African Netflix thriller that explores the lengths a mother will go to in order to save her child—even if it means turning to an unholy saviour. The visual effects are carefully integrated, supporting the drama without overwhelming it, and reflect our commitment to narrative-led VFX.

We’re excited for the world to see it. MARKED premieres on Netflix July 31.
