How To Ruin Diwali: Meet the Parents | On Netflix 30 October
Fox & Wizard is proud to have worked on How To Ruin Diwali: Meet the Parents, the newest chapter in Netflix’s How To Ruin franchise. It premieres worldwide on Friday 30 October.
The three-episode comedy comes from Burnt Onion Productions, in collaboration with producer Jayan Moodley, and was created by Rethabile and Katleho Ramaphakela. It follows Mmabatho Nkomo (Rosemary Zimu-Mnguni), an overachieving perfectionist meeting her fiancé Varshen’s (Kyle Clark) traditional Indian family for the first time. Her plan to make a good impression goes spectacularly wrong when she accidentally exposes her future father-in-law’s secret affair. With Diwali only days away, she has to put the family back together without making things even worse.
Our work on the show centred on the driving scenes, where we delivered many of the green screen car comps. Good driving comps are never meant to be noticed. They keep the audience in the car with the characters, and in a comedy, every awkward glance across the front seat counts.
