Fox & Wizard continues to support The Gilded Age with visual effects that quietly shape the show’s rich period world—from polished interiors to grand estates and sweeping environments. In Episode 4, tensions simmer beneath the surface as alliances shift and personal histories come to light.

As Gladys prepares to marry the Duke, doubt sets in and she begins to withdraw. Bertha’s control is tested when Larry invites his aunt Monica, and Marian steps in as a last-minute bridesmaid. Meanwhile, family and fortune intertwine: Jack and Larry strike gold with their patent, Mrs. Bruce reveals a long-buried marriage, and Mrs. Winterton hints at secrets of her own. In Newport, Peggy’s father endures further humiliation, while back in New York, Mrs. Astor faces scandal and Ada consults a clairvoyant—to Agnes’s horror. By episode’s end, Gladys weds Hector and sails off to an uncertain future in England.
