Fox & Wizard is proud to have been part of The Gilded Age Season 3 through meticulous visual effects that preserved the grandeur and intimacy of its world—right through to this dramatic conclusion.
In Episode 8, George survives an assassination attempt thanks to Marian and Dr. Kirkland, but the near-death experience shakes the Russell household. While George recovers, Bertha pushes forward with the Newport Ball to protect appearances, drawing New York’s elite together for one last glittering night of the season. Peggy’s future takes an unexpected turn when Dr. Kirkland learns the truth about her past, ultimately defying his family to propose. Agnes accepts a leadership role in a historical society and, in a rare gesture, cedes her seat at the head of the table to Ada. At the ball, Oscar proposes a marriage of convenience to a newly widowed Mrs. Winterton, and Larry and Marian reconcile. But the evening ends with a fracture: George tells Bertha their separation will continue, accusing her of using their children for her own ambitions—moments before Gladys arrives with news of her pregnancy.
The Gilded Age may close its season here, but the shifting alliances, fractured relationships, and questions of legacy promise more drama to come.
