Fox & Wizard continues to provide seamless visual support on The Gilded Age, helping build the grandeur and grit of this world as the story deepens. Episode 5 is a turning point—where cracks begin to show in even the most carefully constructed facades.

In London, Gladys struggles with her new life as a duchess, caught between Lady Sarah’s cruelty and Hector’s inaction. Back in the States, George fires Clay after a failed land deal and faces mounting pressure as his transcontinental railroad expansion falters. Larry heads to Arizona on business, uncovering potential in nearby copper mines—while also getting engaged to Marian, to the dismay of both Agnes and Bertha. Elsewhere, Peggy prepares to interview suffragist Frances Watkins Harper, while fending off an overzealous Mr. Fortune. And in a dim New York club, Larry unexpectedly discovers Maud Beaton living under a new identity. Secrets, financial strains, and emotional confrontations ripple across families and cities, with Bertha vowing to regain control after receiving a distressing telegram from Gladys.
