Fox & Wizard continues to support The Gilded Age with refined, invisible VFX work that helps uphold the show’s grandeur and historical authenticity as Season 3 moves toward its final act.
In Episode 7, reputations unravel and power begins to shift. Ward McAllister’s revealing memoir gets him exiled from polite society, while Church, Mrs. Bruce, and Borden expose André as the source of Bertha’s press leaks. Oscar mourns John Adams’ death but inherits his summer home, and Marian offers him a moment of understanding. Peggy’s suffrage event brings Frances Watkins Harper to the fore, while Ada steps into a public role—and Agnes receives an unexpected approach from Mrs. Foster. Marian continues to resist Larry’s attempts at reconciliation, even as Jack clears his name. George, reinvigorated by the copper mines’ value, regains leverage with J.P. Morgan and defeats Clay’s efforts to undermine him. Meanwhile, Mrs. Astor turns to Bertha to salvage her social standing, and Peggy’s past is on the verge of exposure as Mrs. Kirkland races to New York. Just as the dust begins to settle, George’s office is rocked by a shocking act of violence.
